Messages to Teachers

Melville
Honestly, you were the gloomy ray of sunshine I needed every day. It was nice spending the semester with you. Hope you enjoy your retirement away from school and away from kids and responsibilities :) Hope you can begin your investment in cement trees one day.
I will always remember concrete trees.
You taught civics better than anyone else could have! Thank you.
Hello Mr.Melville! I may have only know me for two years, but of the two years, I spent every minute absolutely terrified for more packages. I hope you have a great retirement because you truly deserve it after dealing with Garneau students like me. You taught with humour, and you made every class more interesting than the last, and even if my marks may have suffered, I wouldn’t trade the memories I’ve made in your class for anything. Thank you!
Enjoy your coffee and your concrete trees :D
Hey Mr. Melville just so u know CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL, yeah that’s right, so deny it all u want. You’re very funny, but u didn’t take us on any trips cause you said you were lazy:/. But you’re full of stories and our whole class would kinda purposely make you distracted so we didn’t have to do work. Oh and have fun on your cruise around the world, and send us a postcard from Las Vegas.
You never ended up telling us your middle name.
Civics with you was a blast, I really enjoyed the subject which would otherwise have been torture for me. Thank you!
You are unforgettable. Though I try. Really really hard.
You were the best civics teacher our class ever could have gotten and despite the blue pencil crayon on our tests we’re all very sad to see you go! Wish you could still be our history teacher next year :( We hope that you might start up a concrete tree factory from which you can profit greatly whilst lounging on a beach chair in Florida. Have an awesome retirement, and thank you for all the memories! Remember, remember, the fifth of November…
You might pretend that you don’t know our names, but we all know you actually do.
Thank you for putting up with us for 2 years! Your ramblings are always so cool!
You’re the only reason I took Econ. #NoRagrets (Not kidding, it was actually an amazing course).
Thank you for making history and economics even more interesting than they already are. Thank you for running TOPS night. Thank you for directing Quiz League through all these years, successful or not. We hope us “nerds” did you proud.
Goodbye, Mr. Melville! You’ve made a huge impact on my life, and I felt like I was truly LIVING through history, or the world of economics, whenever you taught me. You are such a knowledgeable teacher, and always so interesting to talk to. I’m sure your retired life will be even more exciting than everything else you’ve done thus far. So have a blast in Florida, and go to as many Nicki Minaj/Madonna/Katy Perry concerts as you can!
Coming into this year, I was certain history would be very boring, but you made it one of the most interesting courses I’ve taken. Thanks for your countless jokes and interesting stories. Hope you enjoy your retirement (and your many vacations)!
I’ll miss your rants on concrete trees but they’re not feasible :)
Mr. Melville!!! You are actually the coolest, and I wish I had a social life like yours. Keep being awesome and rocking the world with your personality. We’ll call you in Florida!
Thank you for everything. Class has always been fun :) except long answers on test :P Thanks for always being there for us and telling us stories :DD Have fun on your cruise next year! Please visit and don’t forget us ♥
Thank you for making me punctual.
Everyone (almost) will miss you!
Thanks for providing us with a different view on global issues. Keep on working towards a Toronto full of concrete trees!
bye
HEY, MR. MELVILLE! Aren’t you glad you had the pleasure of being my teacher in your final year? Just kidding, I’m glad I had the pleasure of being your student in our final year. I’m actually working on that Economics summative as I type this, yes, I know it’s due tomorrow… Anyways, You’re actually a pretty amazing teacher despite all that sass, oh, and your stories are actually quite cool. I hope you have fun at those Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber concerts, happy retirement! Ps. I know I’m your favourite student. (:
Hi Mr. MELVILLE, its one of your students who haven’t been into class for many days . ITS NOTHING WRONG AT Your side . IT’S always me having to deal with some problems during morning times. I hope you understand .. Thanks for your brilliant era of teaching. Hope you have the best upcoming life
Hey Mr.Melville, tbh You’re a sick dude. I actually found it really cool that you go to Nicki Minaj concerts and travel all around the world. I hope that Garneau didn’t cause you too much trouble and hope you have a great life.
MESSAGES TO WHITE
Hello Mrs.White! Of all the years I’ve been in the Ontario education system, and of all of the English teacher I’ve ever faced, no teacher has pushed me to the limits like you have. You gave me the opportunity to go past my boundaries and explore the world of English literature. From teaching us how to write a proper sentence, to teaching us how to annotate to perfection, you’ve taught it all. Thank you so much for not just being a great teacher, but thank you for also being there as a person. When any Garneau student need supports, you’re there to help them. I hope to come across many more teachers like you!
Thank You for opening my mind about English. At first I thought it was an easy course but when I met you, you changed my perspective. I did not like the change and the rules you taught in class but I learned to adapt to your criteria. This whole learning process from your class help’s me now in my new English course. The course I am doing for English this year is so vague and hard to understand the expectations. But whenever I am in difficult times, I just pop my notes from your class and it all makes sense! I know I got very low mark in your class but that milestone was important for me to understand the importance of English! Thank You so much, -Zaid
Bruh, you mark too hard and you are very unfair. best of luck in the future still.
You are brilliant and you will be missed
Having had you as my English teacher for two years in a row, I am tremendously grateful for your dedication and knowledge of the subject. I know that my writing has improved as a result, and you have polished skills that I will carry with me through the rest of my life. Thank you for all your help! Please come back and visit us.
It was very fun (surprisingly) in class, whether you could tell or not. ;) It’s hard to see you (and Mr.Melville) leave but I hope you have fun visiting all the different places you wanted to. Hope you won’t forget us♥ You touched me on a personal level :D
You made studying Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Iseult very enjoyable!
A class is always memorable when it’s your favourite subject, but even more so when it’s taught by a wonderful teacher. Thank you for teaching, inspiring, and motivating us as students to read, write, and analyze the best we can. You are truly one of the best English teachers I have ever had.
sorry for getting on your nerves. Hope you have a great , peaceful time.
Please continue to inspire people like you’ve inspired me
You were an amazing English teacher. At the beginning, it was difficult to adjust to your way of teaching, but after a while we all got the hang of it. I think that although you were strict at times, there was a lot that the students could learn from you. I really enjoyed the course and really miss English! Thank you!
MESSAGES TO LAWFORD
As one of the kindest and most caring teachers at Marc Garneau, you will be missed dearly. Thank you for inspiring the inner writer in all of us.
